SLP Child & Teen Program
The child and teen program at SLP strives to help kids heal and grow, clearing the barriers that inhibit each child from becoming who they are uniquely meant to be. Kids and teens face many challenges in the process of growing up, especially with the increased pressures of social media and stresses of growing up in today's Los Angeles. Our child therapists are well trained in working with children and adolescents (and even infant-parent pairs) from both behavioral and psychodynamic approaches, incorporating play therapy, sandplay, and family or child-parent therapy, among others. We work in partnership with parents to help support their children and nurture their own wellbeing.
Each of our child therapists has specific expertise working with kids and teens, having trained and provided psychotherapy to children and families in community clinics, schools, intensive treatment programs, child welfare programs, and private practice settings. Please feel free to browse their profiles and reach out to us if you have any questions about starting therapy for your child.
