Rachel partners with her clients to help them become aware of the frustrating patterns that continue to show up in their lives, understand why things feel emotionally activated in the way that they do, and ultimately practice exploration of self love in a truly embodied form.
Rachel uses a psychodynamic and relational lens in the therapy space. By joining with her clients in understanding the uniqueness of their own minds and the rich history of their current challenges and beliefs, through the process of cultivating self-compassion clients are able to strengthen their sense of who they are and move towards healing. Rachel also enjoys working through the lens of attachment theory, bringing curiosity and care in order to understand how her clients show up in their relationships. By gently asking questions and offering direct feedback, Rachel encourages her clients to foster their own curiosity, anchoring them to a deeper and more authentic relationship with themselves.
Rachel specializes in working with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, women’s issues, life transitions, relationship challenges and healing from trauma. Rachel has a background in the creative arts so she enjoys working with creative individuals as well as women in their 20s and 30s. Additionally, Rachel has been trained in EMDR therapy and feels passionate about bringing this into the therapy space when appropriate.
Rachel received her Bachelor’s of Arts degree at California State University, Long Beach studying Theatre Arts and received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. Rachel has also worked at Stori Marriage and Family Therapy on the westside of Los Angeles.
