Rebecca Rowen, LCSW received her Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations: Peace and Conflict Resolution and Spanish Studies from The American University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles. Rebecca has provided psychotherapy and parent work in a Los Angeles community based mental health agency and private practice setting. Rebecca also has experience leading psychotherapy groups around themes of grief and loss, self esteem, and shifts in identity.
Having a social justice, antiracist, and gender and sexuality affirming lens is central to Rebecca’s work and being. Rebecca strongly believes in the power of human connection, the mind body connection, and in working to heal our inner child.
Rebecca utilizes her diverse skillset and background to assist with developing plan that meets each individual client where they are. She utilizes a blend of psychodynamic, trauma informed care, mindfulness, DBT, CBT, art therapy, and play therapy. Rebecca is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (LCSW 101689).
