Rebecca Rowen, LCSW

Rebecca Rowen, LCSW received her Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations: Peace and Conflict Resolution and Spanish Studies from The American University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles. Rebecca has provided psychotherapy and parent work in community based mental health agencies and private practice settings, and has led psychotherapy groups around themes of grief and loss, self esteem, and shifts in identity.

Having a social justice, antiracist, and gender and sexuality affirming lens is central to Rebecca’s work and being. She strongly believes in the power of human connection, the mind body connection, and in working to heal our inner child.

Rebecca draws upon a diverse skillset and background to assist with developing a plan that meets each individual client where they are. She uses a blend of psychodynamic, trauma informed care, mindfulness, DBT, CBT, art therapy, and play therapy.

In addition to her work with adults, Rebecca has extensive experience and training working with children and adolescents. She uses elements of play therapy, mindfulness, and artistic elements to create a space where children and adolescents feel safe to freely express themselves in a language that feels comfortable to them.

Rebecca is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (LCSW 101689).
