As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, Sophie is passionate about and experienced in working with LGBTQ+ individuals, diversity, and intersectionality, including issues related to race, class, and culture.

Sophie earned her BA from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and her MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. She furthered her clinical training in psychodynamic therapy at The Maple Counseling Center, where she facilitated both individual and group sessions. Sophie's approach is informed by a blend of therapeutic modalities including psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and mindfulness techniques tailored to meet the unique needs of each client she meets.
