Negar Toobi, LMFT

Psychotherapist

Negar Toobi, LMFT (she/her) received her Master's Degree at USC and is professionally trained in insight-oriented, psychodynamic therapy. She is also an Attachment-Focused EMDR Therapist trained by the Parnell Institute. Negar has worked as a therapist in a variety of settings, including the renowned Maple Counseling Center, and has also taught as an adjunct professor of psychology at University of the West.

Negar works with adults who feel stuck in anxiety spirals through a culturally-sensitive lens. She helps people who feel overcome by shame & stagnant in relationships or life transitions to shift from a position of fear to one of empowerment.

Negar believes when we understand how our pattens were formed and where our reactions are coming from, we are emancipated with the freedom of decision. Discovering how your past is affecting your present-day can help you get in the driver’s seat of your own life, instead of watching your emotions take the wheel. A major goal of therapy with Negar is to illuminate the roots of issues in order to create opportunities for lasting change & deep healing. Through teaching radical acceptance towards all parts of you, Negar helps you uncover the answers she believes lie within you.

Negar Toobi is an independent practitioner and not an employee of Silver Lake Psychotherapy. Therefore, she is solely responsible for all matters concerning your clinical care and all questions about your care should be addressed with her directly.
